A new trailer for Superman & Lois features the challenges that the Man of Steel and his family will face.
The trailer opens with Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) taking his sons, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alex Garfin), to the Fortress of Solitude. Clark talks about how he felt “lost” after his father’s death and came to the Fortress to find out more about his powers. “Each power comes with its own burden,” he continues. “It’s not just what you do, it’s also what you don’t do.”
Scenes of Superman combatting the mysterious Captain Luthor (Wolé Parks) are also present, with Luthor telling the Last Son of Krypton to make a choice between capturing him or saving innocent lives. This also puts tension between Clark and his father-in-law, General Sam Lane (Dylan Walsh), who tells Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) that he doesn’t like Clark’s priorities changing. “It’s called being a father!” Lois shoots back.
Finally, Clark makes an ultimatum to General Lane: “I’m not throwing away time with my family — but if anything goes wrong, I will be there.” However, his family may be a different challenge — especially Jordan, who angrily screams at his father that everything he does is a mistake.
Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Dylan Walsh, Alex Garfin, Jordan Elsass, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Inde Navarrette and Wolé Parks. The series airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
