The Cincinnati Reds have not had a good year at all this season. They currently have 28 wins, which ties them with the Oakland A’s for the least wins in all of Major League Baseball.
Last night they were battling with the NL East-leading New York Mets when things quickly fell apart for them in the top of the 10th inning. New York had scored two runs to take a 5-3 lead and then with two men on base, center fielder Brandon Nimmo came to the plate and crushed a 3-run home run to right field, which made it an 8-3 game.
Listen to how sad Reds announcer, John Sadak, was on this call:
You could hear the Reds broadcaster’s soul leave his body pic.twitter.com/Xt9UlD5pgG

That “gone” was so sad but also so great.
Twitter had lots of jokes.
