Genndy Tartakovsky’s Emmy Award-winning Primal returns with five new episodes in October, featuring a trailer showcasing bloody prehistoric action.
Nearly a year since its premiere, the second half of Genndy Tartakovsky’s Emmy Award-winning animated series Primal will debut next month for more prehistoric action and adventure.
A trailer for the season’s final five episodes opens with the caveman Spear and his Tyrannosaurus Rex companion Fang, recuperating in a cave from their recent ordeal. Venturing into the savage world around them, they encounter ravenous packs of wolves, shadowy figures that wield an unearthly green flame and rabid, undead dinosaurs that pursue them through the wilds. The second half of Season 1 is set to premiere on Oct. 4.
Premiering on Adult Swim last October, the first five episodes introduced audiences to Spear and Fang as they both endured tragedy to decided to navigate their perilous world together. Winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Cartoon Network renewed Primal for a second season earlier this month, with the renewal order consisting of an additional ten episodes.
Prior to creating Primal, Tartakovsky created Samurai Jack and Dexter’s Laboratory for Cartoon Network and directed the first three Hotel Transylvania films. Tartakovsky began active development on Primal following the completion of the fifth and final season of Samurai Jack.
Created by Genndy Tartakovsky, Primal returns to finish its first season starting Oct. 4 at 11:30pm ET/PT on Adult Swim.
