- A former Cook County judge got caught in a human trafficking dragnet. Daniel Peters, 66, told detectives he is a retired judge and works as a special assistant in the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. Peters is charged with soliciting a prostitute. (Patch)
- “What I did was wrong. I am ashamed. I am a convicted felon. I stand before the court, remorseful. I humbly ask for leniency,” former Chicago alderman Ricardo Munoz said in federal court. He was sentenced to 13 months in prison and 18 months of supervised release. (NBC5)
- Illinoisans are buying less pot, allegedly. State officials reported Illinois dispensaries sold 2.5 million cannabis-related items in February, less than the two previous months. Street dealers did not report their sales figures. (Patch)
