BROOKLINE, MA — Mecha Noodle Bar has opened a location at 285 Harvard Street in Brookline.
The Brookline location is the restaurant’s first Massachusetts establishment, with a second planned for Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood. Mecha currently has five other locations in Connecticut.
Owned by sons of immigrants, Mecha features food items such as bao, edamame, Saigon egg rolls, wings, soy sticky ribs, roasted mushroom dumplings, pho and ramen, bubble tea, and cocktails.
“The Mecha experience is an homage to our Asian-American upbringing,” says the restaurant’s website. “Our mission is to serve local communities by providing Asian comfort food while paying it forward.”
Mecha’s mission is to serve local communities while “paying it forward in tangible ways.” Each month, 50 cents from every bowl of ramen sold is donated to a local cause.
