INDIANAPOLIS
Edward (Eddie) Louis Frederick, 69, of Indianapolis, formerly of Greenwood, passed peacefully at his home on October 5, 2020. He was born on December 5, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Paul O. and Dorothy C. Frederick. He graduated from Greenwood High School in Greenwood, Indiana in 1969. He was a Vietnam War veteran and served in the United States Navy. He married Janetta S. Calhoun on June 5, 1997 in Johnson City, Illinois. Eddie worked as a truck driver for 12 years and as a driver for Lyft for 6 years. He was also involved as a volunteer firefighter at the New Whiteland Fire Department in New Whiteland, Indiana, White River Fire Department in Greenwood, Indiana and Bargersville, Indiana where he received various awards and accommodations for his service. Eddie’s passions and hobbies were fishing and hunting and he was a great fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John P. Frederick. Eddie is survived by his wife Janetta; children, Kristen R. Moon (Jon), Keith E. Frederick (Patricia), Adam J. Frederick (Rhonda) and Justin W. Calhoun, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 with the memorial service immediately following from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Funeral Home, located at 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208. Pastors Sharon L. Fralick and Donald W. Fralick from New Hope Family Center
Church, Indianapolis, Indiana, where Eddie and Janetta were members, will be officiating. Memorials may be given to Helping Heroes of America, a veterans organization, located at 8130 S. Meridian Street, Suite 4A, Indianapolis, Indiana 46217 in honor of Edward L. Frederick.
