It seems like Dave Chappelle just can’t get enough of the Bay Area.
The divisive comic who has drawn widespread criticism for his comments about the transgender community played a show in San Francisco at the Punchline following a Warriors playoff game in May. He also performed two shows in Santa Rosa in July as a precursor to his appearance alongside Robert Glasper at the Blue Note Jazz Festival. Plus, Chappelle threw a massive party at the Chase Center last November featuring Bay Area royalty like Raphael Saadiq, Too Short and E-40.
This morning, he has announced another show at the Chase Center on Dec. 11, alongside Chris Rock. Rock also performed in San Francisco recently in July at the Masonic Auditorium, where he sounded off on local topics like the Warriors, San Francisco’s high cost of rent and Elon Musk, as well as sharing a collection of personal text messages.
There are seven dates in total on the co-headlining tour, including three Northern California shows. In addition to San Francisco, the pair is set to perform at the SAP Center in San Jose (Dec. 10) and the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento (Dec. 12).
Tickets for the San Francisco show go on sale on Friday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m.
