The Miami Dolphins have much bigger concerns with their quarterback after what happened to Tua Tagovailoa Thursday night, a halftime deficit that is secondary at the moment. Tagovailoa left Thursday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals on a stretcher after landing on his back then head on a sack by Josh Tupou in the second quarter.
Tagovailoa raised his hand in the air immediately, signaling neurological reaction to head trauma as he was down on the ground being attended to for several minutes. Plenty of his Dolphins teammates lined up around him as Tagovailoa was carted off the field. Further diagnosis on Tua’s injury was head and neck injuries, but he was conscious — per the Amazon broadcast
The Bengals lead the game 14-12 thanks to a Joe Burrow touchdown pass to Tee Higgins that went for 59 yards with 2:50 left in the second quarter. Stay pinned to the live blog below for all the real-time updates and analysis from this one — as well as any further updates on the Tagovailoa injury.
