1. The Miami Heat has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for violating league injury reporting rules. The NBA said The Heat failed to disclose an accurate game availability status for several players prior before its game against Oklahoma City on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Paycom Center. (NBA.com)
2. Florida Power and Light workers on Friday removed the last wooden transmission pole in South Florida near Northwest 52nd Avenue. The effort to change the electricity in the area is on-going. All structures will be either steel or concrete from now on. (WSVN)
3. A driver of a FedEx truck died after crashing into a tree on Friday in Coral Gables. “We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the individual involved,” said Dave Hill, a spokesperson for FedEx. (WPLG Local 10)
4. A former South Florida church pastor was placed bars behind after Miami-Dade police said she allegedly scammed an elderly couple who had attended her church. The accused pastor is facing charges including grand theft, organized scheme to defraud and exploitation of the elderly, officials said Thursday. (NBC Miami)
5. A new report from CoStar said Miami is now the top performing market for WeWork with 97 percent occupancy. WeWork’s offices in Miami were 97 percent occupied in the second quarter, far above New York at 68 percent, San Francisco at 75 percent, and Boston at 57 percent. (The Next Miami)
