Mitali chandola, A journalist shot in delhi . she was targeted and shot by a group of masked men while she was in her car at the Vasundhara Enclave in eastern Delhi, police said today.
Police said Mitali Chandola, who lives in Noida, was driving her Hyundai i20 car around 12:30 am Sunday, when a Maruti Swift hit her.
Some masked men inside the car fired two shots at her, police said, adding that the bullets went through the front windshield and one of them hit her hand. Ms. Chandola told the police that the attackers also threw eggs at the windshield of their car before leaving.
She has been admitted to the Dharamshila Hospital in East Delhi and is out of danger.

Police said they are investigating whether a gang that attacks motorists at night with eggs to distract them and steal them is involved in the attack.
The police have not ruled out personal enmity either. Ms. Chandola said she was not on good terms with her family, according to the police.
“She was shot in the arm and is out of danger – at first sight, it seems to be a case of family dispute,” police official Jasmeet Singh told reporters.
The police have launched a search for the accused.
In 2008, a 26-year-old journalist, Soumya Viswanathan, was shot dead at the Vasant Kunj in South Delhi while driving around 3:30 am.
