TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – A one-stop travel marketplace and information hub regarding Bali and Indonesia as a whole, Bali.com, has officially been launched which will also join forces with the Indonesian Tourism Ministry.
In a press statement on Thursday, March 4, founder and CEO Yenny Stutts said “The travel experience starts already with the travel planning phase before arriving in Indonesia and ends with the visitors’ return home.”
The website is also aligned with Indonesia’s digital tourism platforms and apps, and with its airlines, airports, hotels and attractions.
“We can now guide and assist the traveller throughout the entire journey – from pre-arrival to post-departure.” Stutts added.
As part of the Ministry’s Tourism with ongoing effort to improve and broaden its digital reach and offering to tourists, Bali.com is set to create a blueprint strategy and portal design for many more tourist destination portals.
Bali.com COO Esteban Fernandez also elaborates that this platform is intended to “provide the best researched travel guide and most reliable source of information as visitors will benefit from attractive discount packages for flights, accommodation, activities, and shopping.”
Portal management maintains that it will intensify sustainability efforts and promote and accommodate MSMEs into this growing online marketplace to a broader global audience. The COO explained that Bali.com is the start of a broader ‘digital treatment’ for many more Indonesian tourist destinations – which may often be overlooked – in the future.
