They said they are fed up with the violence in Stockton — especially when it involves children. Alan Hernandez was attending his granddaughter’s baby shower in the neighborhood when the shots rang out just down the street.“It’s getting crazy out here,” Hernandez said. “I don’t understand why. There’s a war out there. They need to chill out, put the guns away.”Hernandez’s 12-year-old stepdaughter Alexandria Martin also said these senseless shootings need to stop.”These kids, they’re innocent,” Martin said. “They shouldn’t have to be going through this, nor their families. Because these are innocent 9-year-old kids.”Neighbor Herman Scott told KCRA 3 he fears for his eight grandsons, who all live in Stockton.”They could be walking when these people are out here shooting these kids. Bullets do not have a name. And you know, I am scared for them,” Scott said.
