COLONIE — A section of Route 7 near the former Homeland Security building was shut to vehicles Wednesday morning after the discovery of what appears to be a suspicious package, said authorities.
The road has since reopened.
The incident is being investigated by State Police and Homeland Security. The incident unfolded just east of the intersection of Albany Shaker Road.
A State Police spokeswoman did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
